Childhood is priceless

Dear friends, dear strangers,

This is Valyo.

He is 5 years old. Valyo is a cheerful child, who loves mischiefеs, enjoys running and laughing. He loves music, flowers and swimming.

While other children his age go to kindergarten and prepare for their most important examination – school, Valyo visits a speech therapist, because he is still unable to talk.

While other children recite poems and sing songs, Valyo cannot express any emotions, except for crying and laughing.

While other children draw, build castles from sand or construction kits, Valyo goes to Montessori therapy in order to learn how to understand pictures and photos…

Valyo isn’t suffering like other sick children are. Valyo is happy in his own way, because he has loving parents and a caring older brother. But Valyo grows every day and the more he learns, the more he understands the difference between him and the other children.

His problems appeared the first week after he was born to this world. Doctors had different diagnoses for him. And now he is being cured from epilepsy. It is true that he often has seizures, but we, his parents, think that this is not his toughest problem. There are other many people who suffer from epilepsy and live normal and good lives.

At present Valyo has no childhood. He also has no clear diagnosis for his problems. And it is the right diagnosis that is half the cure.
During the past years we, his parents, have been looking for the best way to help him. So we have found a diagnostic method in Israel. Unfortunately it is a method that is still unknown in our home country Bulgaria. We have already booked a rehabilitation course for him, but it costs 10 000 BGN.

We are his parents and we are doing everything we are capable of in order to help Valyo grow as a complete person. This amount is unfortunately beyond our capabilities.
That’s why we turn to everybody so that together we could help Valyo. We assure you that Valentin has many things to give to the world. We only need to give him a chance – to grow up, to live…
